We’ve been out in the South Bay this past week, and it’s been a really special one.
Working alongside the YMCA of San Diego County’s Expanded Learning Program, we’ve been spending time with local students, getting them on bikes, going through safety, and just having fun riding.
But more than anything, it’s the kids that stood out. The respect, the energy, the way they show up ready to learn, it’s been awesome to see. You can tell it’s building confidence straight away.
That’s what this is really about. Not just teaching skills, but giving them something they enjoy and can carry with them.
Big thank you to our partners as well, especially Vans for sending over a truckload of brand new shoes. The kids have been earning them throughout the week, and you can imagine how much that meant.
