Race Report: GT/Dvide Redman Classic California

Last week, the USA BMX National Tour hit SoCal for the Redman Class National at Grand Prix BMX in Lake Perris, a track with decades of history hosting national events.

The GT/Dvide Team made the trip up the 15 North for three days of national racing in desert heat and left with some great finishes, including several podiums.

On the girls’ side, we had Penelope Malcolm, Hailey Strouse, and Maddie DeSantis representing us. Maddie reached the podium all three days and secured a win on Friday. Hailey built up a new Cruiser, reached the podium, and also made a class main. Penelope raced her first national of the year with GT and represented us well, making some main events. Great job, Penelope!

On the men’s side, Andrew Bryson and Gus Cruz were in attendance. Gus, back after a break following Worlds, raced for two days and reached four main events, with his best finishes being 2nd and 3rd on Cruiser.

Andrew Bryson continues to progress, achieving two podium finishes this past weekend in Pro/Am and 16x, along with several more main event appearances.
